Building on their partnership work for BFI Musicals in 2019-20, Film Feels Curious sees the return of Live Cinema UK's collaboration with Make a Scene Film Club for their first in person events since the pandemic, bringing interactive live film events back to Manchester audiences whilst exploring the curious question of: what makes a camp cult classic? Join Make a Scene for two events celebrating under-respected 90s films about female friendship and how they have, curiously, been adopted by the LGBT+ community. Both Muriel's Wedding and Death Becomes Her have campy tone, a sense of humour, perfect film making and strong female leads - both key films in the camp canon and even in the wider queer experience as the most quoted and referenced films of all time with lines and scenes being adopted into a collective vernacular and endlessly referenced in queer stage performances and even on RuPaul's Drag Race.
