Rewatchlive Q&As with the Director, Writer and Editor of MISBEHAVIOUR (UK, 2020)

In 2010, there was a brilliant edition of Radio 4’s The Reunion you can hear it here about the 1970 Miss World. It looked back to the year that this bizarre contest, watched by 100 million people, was famously disrupted by members of the newly formed Women’s Liberation Movement who threw flour bombs at Bob Hope and invaded the stage. It also featured the first black South African contestant.

Producer Suzanne Mackie was listening to the programme and instantly knew that she wanted to make a film about it – the film took 10 years to make, and is a pleasure to watch: it’s funny, fair, has a brilliant cast, and sticks to the truth.

Misbehaviour was released the week before lockdown and had only just begun its journey when cinemas shut their doors. It really IS "the feel-good film that we all need right now" - Screen International.
